International 10Gbps Line-Speed Security

This security demonstration uses AES-256 encryption and OME switching hardware to send encrypted streaming media at 10Gbps speeds with minimal latency from Nortel's Ottawa facility, and from Amsterdam, through StarLight in Chicago, to iGrid in San Diego. Such capability is desirable for many applications of lightpaths to reduce vulnerability to theft or modification of commercially valuable information. Applications can enable and disable the encryption on demand during the iGrid demonstration.
